About Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale, located in the center of South Florida's Gold Coast, midway between Palm Beach and Miami, stretches from Deerfield Beach and Pompano in the north to Hollywood and Hallandale Beach in the south.  Spread across 1,200 square miles, the region is home to 30 cities and 1.7 million residents.  Fort Lauderdale proper, the largest city and the county seat, has  150,000 residents.

Fort Lauderdale’s 165 miles of navigable waterways contribute to the beauty of the city.  10% of the city surface is water!  Access to the ocean is plentiful for sailboats, cruisers, ski boats, fishing boats and more.  The smallest boats to the large ocean liners use Fort Lauderdale as a home for their vessels.
